Persistence
Well another week come and gone, and I learn more and more each day. Constant improvement is a necessity to this industry, as with every other as I am sure you will all agree. This weeks lesson was on Persistence. And of course, we all understand this concept, but have been resolutely ignoring it since we were young and needed to clean our rooms. But it really is a great thing to get into the habit of. And for me especially this means to finish one thing before starting the next. I am very bad for this, finishing most of a project then moving on to the next project with out quite finishing what I did in the first place. Why I keep asking myself, do I continue to do this, and I can never seem to come up with an answer I can readily accept. So each time, I see that I am half done lately, I tell myself, finish boy, get that done, quit being lazy. It won't take that long if you just stick to it. Gotta finish what you start, and the sooner you do it the sooner it is done. I think that is all for this reading of the chapter on persistence, it is time now to go and talk to youtube about it, and finish editing/redoing my reading of Success in 10 steps.

30 Day Cleanse, and video
Well, it is Wednesday, mental cleanse call day. I did my lesson(it was my last post). I listened to the call again and again the inspiration was there to make my life better, I think that is why I like the mental cleanse so much. After each call, even though I can never think of anything contributing to say, I feel such a stronger determination to improve my life. I think, in the next few free training calls, hosted by Mentoring For Free, the least I should do is at least Thank everyone for everything they do, especially Michael and Linda Dlouhy. Maybe I will even be inspired to speak, or ask a good question or something! Todays call was focused on decision, decision is a powerful, powerful thing, and there were quite a few good life lessons, on how and why making and sticking to decisions are good for us. And how our Mentors help us along the way sometimes.
I finally finished reading Success in 10 Steps aloud to my computer, the play back is kinda choppy, but I am going to edit out the worst of it, and post it up on YouTube anyways, hopefully I get a little feed back. You can check it all out Chysom Scott on YouTube. There will be personal videos as well, but hey I am a person after all, not just some computer programs designed to update at specific times. Thats all for today, Have a great night/day whichever it may be.

Decision - The Mastery of Procrastination
My favorite quote in this chapter was "Deeds, and NOT words are what count most" Do it, you don't have to tell people what you are doing, just do it, and they will see.
So lets do some examples
In my last post I talked about Ad Copy. Well after I posted it, and earlier today I was think what better way to follow up then to do some Ad Copy examples? Now, you don't really need to know much about your products, as Michael Dlouhy mentioned on a call I was listening to the other day, all the product training you need can be said in a single sentence. "Try it, you may like it, if not there is a 30 day money back guarantee!"
All right I got these two products. One is a cookie that helps you to lose wheight. The other is a new form of enery drink, comes in a powder form rather then your traditional canned drink. And I think we will throw in one for the Mentoring For Free service as well. Just so that you can see it works for what ever it may be that you are trying to promote.
So what do we know about the first product. It is a cookie that helps people to lose wheight!
All right lets review how we do this BOG-OP. Benefit - helps lose whieght by eating cookies, Occupation I use them I am a Chef. Geography I live in Manitoba. I lost 7 pounds in 6 days, that would be your odd numbers. Finally, personality I am very easy going.
So lets see then, this would make me think. An easy going Chef from Manitoba lost 7 pounds in 6 days eating his favorite snack Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Fairly simple yes. All right lets try the Energy drink now. And lets make someone up, because not everybody is as worry free as I am about spreading the personal information for all the world to see.
So the benefit is great energy with-out the crash! Who would need this, maybe a hockey player from Calgary, every one knows the Flames need a bit of a pick me up. The energy may last from 3-5 hours. Hmm, Worn out hockey player from Calgary gets a 5 hour energy boost, from Crave. With out the crash usually associated from energy drinks. Does that work? What do you think could make these work better? It is not as easy as you would think is it. But it is still very simple.
Professional network marketer from Florida sponsors 7 new prospects in 9 days using methods taught by Mentoring For Free. That actually doesn't sound to great for me. Let us try again, the first part worked "Professional network marketer from Florida" The next part works, but lets make it sound a little better. "Sponsers 9 new prospects in 7 days." The end here just killed it for me though. "methods taught by Mentoring for Free." That doesn't really describe the benefit does it. Sponsoring is the Benefit. Utilizing the methods taught in Mentoring For Free is how we get the benefit. All right then. Utilizing the methods taught by Michael Dlouhy and his team of like minded people at Mentoring For Free, a professional network marketer from Florida sponsors 9 new prospects in 7 days. Check out Mentoring for Free here.
Well I would like to know what you guys think! Why don't you send me an e-mail to chismo16@gmail.com and let me know what you think I could do to make that all sound better?
This is Chysom Scott, bidding you all fair thee well for now. Stay tuned though, next post will be a lesson on Decision the mastery of Procrastination!

Ad Copy - A quick lesson on writing adds
Well, I have been bad. I am getting behind in my studies, and the evil procrastination is invading my mind once more. How hard it is to squash a horrible habit that has been ingrained into my mind for the past 26 years or so. Anyways, I feel very bad now when I procrastinate. So that is the beginning of demolishing that evil little habit. But onwards!
I just wanted to share today something I learned in my Mentoring For Free program. It is called Ad Copy. Or a way to write eye catching, inspiring advertisments that draw the attention of others. I developed an Acronym for it - BOG-OP! LOL. It is story-telling whilst marketing, great powerful stuff I think.
Benefit - Briefly describe the benefit of the product or service you are marketing. What does your product do that sets it apart from its competitors? How will it benefit its users?
Occupation - Think of what your target audience may do for work, and include this in your ad.
Geography - Where might someone who uses your product or service live?
Odd Numbers - Use odd numbers when stating the time frame or effects of your product. Because people seem to relate to odd numbers better then even ones, or they are more believable I don't really know which, but it works!
Personality - Include the an overview or single word description of one of the main personalities of the person in your story, so that you can make him or her a person rather then an ad.
And of course with all great things the biggest step is always testing to make sure it works, tweak a word here, tweak a word there, wait a week. Check the response, tweak a word or a number, wait a week, check to see how well it is doing and so forth. Test Test Test. That is very very important.
That is it for today, happy writing. Regards, Chysom Scott.

Taa Daa, and having life and work mix.
A surprise invite to dinner did me in. I missed my MasterMind Group meeting, and I sincerely regret it. I will at least be able to listen to the Mental Cleanse calls and hopefully I will reach a AH HA moment while I do. In the mean time I did it. I got the first chapter posted to YouTube. I am surprised I got this done, stayed up way to late, gonna pay for it tomorrow. Good thing I got Crave to help me through my day. I finally finished and uploaded Chapter 1 of Success in 10 Steps to YouTube. I plan to do the Foreword tomorrow afternoon, maybe even out in the yard(depending on the weather). I should have done it first, I realized sometime today. But whatever, also I decided that I will not edit them so much, to much work, too unreal. Instead I am just gonna go with it and include the mistakes, make it seem easier, more real. I have also decided that in addition to my reading the chapters I am going to make a video blog about my day and what I have done. You will also be able to follow that on my channel. Keeping up with this blog is seeming to be a daily reminder of my plan and my Why! Have you found your Why yet? If so I emplore you to E-mail it me at chismo16@gmail.com. I would love to talk about it with you. I also decided that once Success in 10 Steps is read, and while I am reading Think and Grow Rich. I will also talk about the Five Pillars and the Personality Colours. Great, Well as this is my end of day report, I am off to dream land sleep well all.

Sponser VS Recruit + Video Editing.
Listened a bit to the play back from Monday afternoons Leadership skills call. Presented by Mentoring For Free. Sarah was hosting the call, I think I am going to have to find out her last name. Anyways, she was talking about the difference between sponsoring a new member in to a MLM opportunity as apposed to recruiting one. I am going to go over this quick because it is just about past bed time. To sponser, means you endorse someone, you are responsible for their actions, so you should guide them well. To recruit means, to enlist for a cause. Kind of like what the Army does. You should always sponser! Never Recruit!! - Look for better posts in the future.
What is this you say, I forgot about Video Editing, I did not. I just didn't realize how big of a job it could be. And with other unforseen events happening today, I didn't quite get to finishing Chapter 1 of Success in 10 Steps. But check out my introduction and tell me what you think! My YouTube Introduction

Thoughts on Chapter 7 Organized Planning
I read Chapter 7 of Napolean Hills, Think and Grow Rich yesterday. Gave myself some time to dwell on what he said, and these are my thoughts from what I recall, and the notes I made. It isn't the best of material, but as time goes by in can only get better right.
Hill's concept here, was to teach us how to be leaders, what we need to do to be at the forefront of our selected industries. His methods were universal. Get a Mastermind, I got one. Meet often, Wednesday, and Saturday at least, if not more often. Be kind and courteous to everyone, aka Don't burn bridges. I wish I could have understood these things in my childhood. Especially being PERSISTENT. Never give up, never surrender. Why do they not convince us of that in elementary school?
You guys want to do well, make your parents proud. Be good to your fellow man, and NEVER give up on your dreams. Instead they teach us to quit daydreaming and get to work. Well I know better now.
And to be a leader, what qualities to improve, which behaviors to cut from our lifestyles. How to write a nice cover letter and CV. All very important lessons, which were merely glanced upon during my school days. Well we live and learn I guess. Organized planning has its place in every aspect of our lives, from keeping the house clean, to doing well in school, to getting ahead in our careers, home renovations, gardening, etc etc etc. But for it to help us accumulate wealth, we have to organize ourselves to be leaders. We have to learn how to market ourselves first and foremost. Do it right, do it well, it can save you years of work he says, why I ask, am I just finding this out now, perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention in the past, or thought, How will that help! Regardless, I know now.
Well laid out plans are the most profitable, seems to me, I have to go over my approach to the whole again, and this time, make it all stick. Put it on paper where I can see it, stop worrying about what others think. Just do IT. Quit procrastinating, and thinking oh, I can get to that later, later really never does seem to come.

YouTube - Other Promotions
I decided a while back, after learning something things, and Youtube would be a great way to help promote any business. Part of social networking and Web 2.0. All great things to get into. Well I finally started, slowly directing my youtube channel to corrolate with mentoring for free. I just did a quick introduction, not the best in the world but it is a start, and starting is what counts. In the coming days, and I AM going to do this EVERY day. I am going to read parts of both Success in 10 steps and Think and Grow Rich( I am going to have to find a nice link to this ebook) to my "audience" Hopefully, I can develop a following of like minded individuals who will help me in my growth process, to each part that I read, I am going to video respond a short spontanious lesson plan. I will continue to provide lesson plans, there and here, at least once a week. Especially for the 30 day mental cleanse. This I commit myself to doing. No excuses. No procrastinating. Aside from that I am also participating in more discussion groups, a new favorite site I learned about for this is MyLot, a great place to just go and chat about whatever strikes your fancy, you know NETWORKING. Hoping my products aren't too far behind because of the Holidays, I can't wait to try em out and talk about them. Have a great Easter all. Tomorrow evening look for my lesson plan on Think and Grow Richs Chapter 7 Organized Planning. It will be interesting to talk about if nothing else, a few things really struck home with me.

First things First.
Hi. I am Chysom Scott. Sometimes known as Chysom J Scott, or CJ Scott. And other names besides, but these are the ones that occur most often of late. I decided a while back that it was time I was using my computer in a more productive manner, and got to making some money while I was kicking around the internet. Make money on the internet you say. How do you do that you ask? Well, the answer in my mind is that there are many ways. Some are far better then others. How much money do you want to make? Do you just want to use the internet, or would you like to phone people as well? For me, it was use my computer, learn, and then do it. I initially opted to try affiliate marketing and building a website, this is phenomanlly easy. The hard part of this is properly marketing your site. I will keep it up and going, yes, it costs money but I like it, and would like to expand on it, it won't be updated incredibly regularly, but that is okay. Will it make money? It has the potential, but learning how it was done was more important. Anyways, as I was learning about this, information was flying at me about a mile a minute, some free, some pricy, some good, most bad. Here I would like to say DO NOT under any circumstance, PAY for information on how to do these things, all the information can be found for free. Email me - chismo16@gmail.com, I will be glad to send to a few sites, for free! That will teach you from the beginning how to get set up. There will always be some fees involved such as a Domain name, Hosting perhaps. Very minimal stuff, I can arrange for you to get a domain name, with hosting, and a website template, for a very reasonable price. But that is if you decide to go that route. Right, I do seem to ramble sometimes. Back to the point of my post, I found a great program on Network Marketing, also known as MLM. I decided to learn a bit more about this industry again, some good, most bad. I started looking a bit more, and I tell you the more you look, the faster all the information comes. Then one day, I was cruising along, 12 web pages open, bouncing back and forth between it all. And on one business networking site, known as Direct Matches I got a nice email from a Great lady. It offered Free mentoring. I was like, FREE ya ya. Well as I was searching for what ever I could find that would help me out. So I checked it out. She had me download this E-book, easy enough. Finally got around to reading it. WOW I thought, this is just Wow. Had most of the questions answered I was looking for. And a bit more information to boot. I read it again. And I was like Holy, this guy really knows what he is talking about. His name Michael Dlouhy The e-book Success in 10 Steps! What I learned was amazing. The best part, he did not mention a single company, in any of the material. Sure he hinted at this and that, talked about a few, but I was new to all this, I didn't Know the companies he was talking about, but someone who had been in Network Marketing for a while would. Surely. I didn't care really. I just read the book, as a matter of fact I am reading it again, I plan to read it until it is part of my instantly recollectable arsenal of information. That is a lot to memorize, but well worth it. Well from there, they offered some extra information, join a call, come Learn to teach with us, Free of Charge no matter what company you are with. Generic free training. That is MORE then worth what they charge. I don't know if there is a long distance fee involved, I have an unlimited calling plan, I do know there are no extra charges to my bill though, and I listen to these calls 2, 3, 4 hours a week. Anyways. I signed up with something they call the 30 day mental cleanse. And that is why I started this blog, part of it is to take action, write what they call lessons, what I call book reports on specific chapters to another book, that has been around far longer then the internet. This blog, is going to host those for me and any other insights I have on the calls. As I go along, this will help me to be a better writer. And more of an Action taker. Hope to see you around. Look for updates, at least weekly. Which day, that is yet to be decided, I am going to make reading a chapter a Sunday activity, So I am thinking at this time, Every Sunday, I will write a new lesson plan/book report on one of the Chapters. Wishing you all well. Chysom!
