Chysom Scott with Mentoring For Free. Had a wee bit of a break. A few of my many mentors are fond of the saying "Any excuse will do." And it seems of late I was just being like that. And it made me very irritable, and less polite then I would normally be because I wasn't doing the things that I had gotten into the habit of doing.
Anyways, long story short, excuses are gone and I am back at what I need to be doing. Doing what is important to me and my personal development. Not to mention my income.
Let's start with a Strong Why, this as I have recently found out, can keep you motivated even when you literally have 100 000 other things on the go and you can barely find time to sleep between making sure everything is happening as it is supposed to, and you end up putting one thing or another on the back burner for a while because at that point in time it doesn't seem quite as important, though in the over all view on things it is what is most important.
Having your Why, out where you can see it, being reminded of it, changing it as it needs to be changed, and adapting it to suit YOU best, is probably the Biggest thing you can do to find success in this industry, with attending Company events as a very close second. Your why, has got to be the strongest motivating force in your life. The reason you wake up the morning, and reason you leave your house each day to earn your money.(Whether you have a job, own a business, or are prospecting locally for your MLM company)
Building Locally.
I listened to great interview today from a nice lady, who's name I can't quite remember. But I still took good notes. She gave a nice 7 point list. It is some basic common sense idea's, but they are good and they work great.
Step 1 - Get out there and meet people. There are lots of things you can do. Community gatherings, fall dinners, sporting events, picnics, bible meetings. A great place to learn about such events in your area would be your local newspaper, and bulletin boards at the grocery stores. You can also try Meetup.com.
Step 2 - Target your Market. Who is your market? That is who do you know that could use your product or opportunity? Determine the needs of the people you meet, and help them understand how you can help them satisfy that need.
Step 3 - Sample, Sample, Sample. Sampling is a great way to find new customers. Be sure to follow up, and follow through on your samples though. When you hand out the samples be sure to take that persons contact information, and let them know you will call them in the next few days to talk about they product you gave them to sample.
Step 4 - "Where literature goes, money soon follows" Be prepared to talk about your business, or leave information in places where your permitted. Such as on brochure racks, or have your business card with you. Try including some of your business information in your mail and email. Be creative, and always keep some of your recruiting tools on you.
Step 5 - Ask for referrals. This is a tough one for most people. Be as polite as you can be. If the person you are talking to isn't interesting in what you have to offer, ask them if they know anybody that is. Tell them you would like to share the information with that person. "The answer is always no, when you don't ask" But, most times so long as you are polite and courteous then answer is yes.
Step 6 - Visit a Gym or Health Club in your area, and ask if they hold a customer appreciation day. Or find out who runs your local farmers market. Set up a time or two to let people know who you are and what you do.
Step 7 - Run an ad in the paper. Just a nice short advertisement saying. My name is Chysom, I will be at Tim Horton's on This day, between this time and this time. I would like to talk about mentoring for free, and how I can help you build your Network marketing organization without buying leads. If you would like to know more, just stop by the coffee is on me.
Thank you for your time today, I hope to be seeing a lot more of you, and feel free as always to share the page and write a question, comment or constructive criticism. We all love feedback after all.
Cheers.
